In addition to corporate volunteering, we are delighted when companies choose to support OBA as part of their corporate fundraising strategy. Often this is done as part of their Equality, Social and Governance commitments and includes match funding commitments. We are happy to identify specific funding targets for funding campaigns and will work with you to track progress and celebrate the success your funding has made. Fundraising Ideas
Plant growing sweepstake – challenge your friends and colleagues to grow the tallest plant or biggest vegtable. Award the winner half the entry takings and donate the rest.
Garden for OBA – mow a lawn or trim a hedge for a donation.
Grow vegetables – in a window box, sell your homegrown goods and donate some of the sales.
Go plant-based for a month – challenge yourself to eat foods with no animal products and ask for sponsorship. Make sure to follow a guide to a balanced, plant-based diet.
Host a craft workshop – gather some friends, colleagues or classmates together and share your crafting skills. Ask for a donation to take part. Make sure to tell everyone what materials they need to bring. Why not hold a raffle or sell some homemade refreshments at your event to boost your fundraising?
Sell your crafts – check out YouTube tutorials or create your own! Take lots of photos of your creations. Share your pictures on social media with friends and colleagues, online market stalls and local community pages. Search online for any upcoming markets that you could go to in person.
Tasty ideas – hold a bake sale in your neighbourhood, at school or at work. Share your cooking talents in a virtual cook-a-long with friends. Make a batch of jam to sell to family and neighbours. Collate favourite recipes from family or colleagues and sell the full collection.
Your special day – make the magic of your birthday last a bit longer by supporting OBA. You could ask for donations instead of gifts, go to our donation page and set up an online campaign for this, or hold a party to raise funds. Got something to celebrate? Whether it’s an anniversary, graduation, retirement or christening – make your special occasion extra special by fundraising for OBA.
